A Centennial Alumni Anniversary

Paul Robeson, Class of 1919

Robeson is one of the university's most distinguished alumni. As a student at Rutgers College from 1915-1919, Robeson excelled in both academics and athletics. After graduating from Rutgers, he earned a law degree from Columbia University, became a lauded actor and entertainer, and took up the mantle as an unwavering advocate for human rights.

In 2019, the university community will mark the centennial anniversary of Paul Robeson's graduation from Rutgers College in 1919 with a variety of events and activities. We invite you to learn more about Robeson's legacy.
